I qualified as a Solicitor in 2009 and joined Markel in 2013 having specialised in Employment law.
I specialise in advising and assisting employers across a broad spectrum of industries and HR specialists on various aspects such as drafting and review of employment contracts and policies and procedures, implementation of disciplinary and grievance processes , dismissals , restructuring and redundancy, contractual variations TUPE transfers, recruitment , performance management , incapacity and capability procedures, employment disputes, assessing employment status and all aspects of discrimination. I consider myself to be commercially aware with the ability to provide strategic, succinct and technical advice in a pragmatic and effective manner.
Tina Din has been amazing throughout a very tough year. She has guided me, helped me and supported me throughout a grievance procedure which escalated to a tribunal. We ended up settling a week before the proceedings.
I personally feel like I’ve learnt a lot and had a crash course in HR and employment law! I’m very impressed with Tina and cannot speak more highly of her.
