The UK's data protection watchdog, the Information Commissioners Office (ICO) has launched a dedicated advice line for small businesses on the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
The new service launched on 1 November 2017 with the aim of helping small businesses prepare for the new data protection laws which come into force 25 May 2018. Additionally, the advice line is able to assist with questions on existing data protection laws.
To access the advice line you should ring the ICO number 0303 123 1113 and select option 4. More information is also available on the ICO website.
The ICO has also stated that it will produce a Guide on GDPR before the end of the year. We'll keep you posted on developments.
